chapter 13 draft
As mentioned in the previous devlog post, there are user-interface changes to the project, mainly the hiding of directly clickable menu options behind an extra click. This tidies up the main screen, and encourages reader to weigh their choices carefully (artificially creating the illusion that rewind is not possible even though it is… except for chapter 10, which still disables “rewind” option on purpose; “save scumming” is possible but it’s more exhausting to do all the time).
(For myself, another issue I experienced on my small mobile phone was that the phone’s UI bar would often get stuck and not retract upward, causing the very top of the screen to be blocked; previously I put the title there so as not to block the option links. Now the clickable area is bigger than what the UI bar can cover up)

- 249,625 words (based on illume proofing method calculation)
- average of 396 clicks to the end of chapter 13 (if not ending the story earlier)
- Chapter 13 draft is not extensively tested, so feedback on obvious textual or link errors are welcome.
